Meet Rachel Maguire
Hi, I’m Rachel—a professional makeup artist and licensed esthetician specializing in modern soft glam for weddings, special events, festival-inspired looks, and personalized makeup lessons.
My approach is simple: enhance your natural features while creating a look that feels polished, radiant, and still completely you.
Makeup should feel fun, empowering, and comfortable to wear. I focus on healthy skin, intentional color choices, and techniques that photograph beautifully while still looking effortless in real life.
I create makeup that feels like you—just elevated, glowing, and a little dreamlike.
My first introduction to makeup started as a dancer in third grade. What began as a way to calm my nerves before performances quickly became something I loved—bold stage makeup, complete with burgundy lips, and fluttery lashes. I started helping other dancers backstage, and that creative spark kept growing.
In high school, I spent hours studying beauty pages in Seventeen magazine, recreating looks and learning how color and technique shaped different moods. Over time, I found inspiration everywhere—from studying more beauty editorials to experimenting with festival makeup and Coachella-inspired looks.
After attending my first music festival in 2015, I was doing festival makeup all the time for friends. I loved the creativity, the freedom, the glitter, and the editorial energy of events like Coachella and Lollapalooza. That influence still shows up in my work today in subtle ways: a shimmery lid, a radiant glow, or a playful detail that makes a look feel a little more alive.
In 2020, I decided to fully pursue makeup artistry. I began working with a beauty brand and earned my professional esthetics license in 2021, blending artistry with skincare knowledge.
Why Skin Matters To Me
My approach to makeup is deeply shaped by my own skin journey.
I’ve experienced acne and eczema, and I understand how vulnerable it can feel to sit in someone’s makeup chair.
A makeup artist once told me she “didn’t know what to do with my acne”.
That moment stayed with me. I made a promise to myself: no one in my chair would ever feel that way.
Today, I prioritize skin-friendly techniques and carefully selected professional products so every client feels supported, respected, and confident in their skin.
